I just became a Graduate Nurse, and have signed up for classes this Fall to become a Paramedic. I currently ride with 3 rescue squads. I really enjoy riding on the ambulance. It gives me a "rush" like no other, and I see myself doing it for many years. When not at school or working, I love to kayak, hike the hills near my home, and rock climb. I recently took up paintball, and have welts to prove it! :). During the winter, I try to ski, but for the past few years have cut down.

Once when I was three years old someone asked me to describe myself. It was a large question for one so young; I must admit it confused me then. I went to a corner with a juice box and sat down, pondering the implications. Half way through the juice box I thought I had something to describe me, but it disappeared when a ball of fluff floated by. I returned to my juice box. I finished it and still had nothing. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, I realized I had it. I walked over to the man who wished for a description. "I have to pee," said I. And I did so. But this disheartened me, because my description had run out; indeed, it was running all over the floor.

Well, to put myself in a nutshell, I'm a student of Theater and Psychology, an EMT, and a lover of the arts. Although the only art I personally can do is tech for theater, I do love most other arts like: modern art, opera, painting.

On the surface, I'm an irritatingly chipper musical theater nerd. Deep down, I'm actually a sarcastic and jaded militant atheist. And a musical theater nerd. By conventional societal standards, I'm bi, but I identify as queer. I like who I like, and I find it unnecessary and trying to define that.

I have a rather obsessive personality, and love science fiction and fantasy. I have a fascination with serial killers that concerns people on occasion, but you have no need to worry. I wish I could have an entirely Victorian wardrobe. I also love the burlesque, gothic, and steampunk aesthetics, but I don't have the nerve or money to have awesome clothing. I'm fond of unnatural hair colors and over-the-knee socks. My usual uniform is a dress that's fun to spin around in, interesting socks or tights, and combat boots or converse. (Unless I can get away with being barefoot. That is universally preferable.) However, since I recently moved from Los Angeles to Vermont for college, my wardrobe is instead more along the lines of OMG SO COLD I WILL WEAR EVERYTHING I OWN AT ONCE.

It generally takes forever for me to open up to people, so I tend to be the listener in conversations early on, not really contributing much. However, I take pride in actually taking in what people tell me and doing my best to remember those things. I tend to grow more talkative and less nervous as I become closer friends with someone.

Others often come to me for advice, support, someone "strong" to ground them in reality... I will always be honest and tell them what they need to hear, but I like to think I'm gentle and reasonable about it. I care about others to the point where my friends call me self-sacrificing. I devote too much time and energy into making people happy, simply because that's what I love doing. It defines a lot of who I am. All my experience with being an unofficial "therapist" comes from observing people from afar, as well as studying the experiences of others and myself. I am rather observational in this regard, and am constantly trying to figure people out.

Aside from those things, I'm just another sarcastic, philosophical, nerdy lesbian (though one could argue I'm pansexual deep down) from Los Angeles that went to Buttfuck Nowhere, Vermont to attend a hippie-but-actually-hipster liberal arts college. I also cuss a lot, am prone to thinking way too much, and am constantly noticing whether someone is using terrible grammar or not.

It is gross and I hope all smokers develope cancer just to be taught a lesson. My favorite beer is

seven. I am not much for the bar scene, and am a fan
of Japanese poetry. I read Beowulf (sp?) because I was bored one summer. I can speak french well enough to
get me by if I ever get the chance to visit Paris
soemday. Speaking of traveling, I would love to go
to
Scotland, mainly because that is where my family is
from (I am also french and native american);just to
see all of the sights and to stay in a really fancy
castle with a moat. That would be incredible. My
best
subject in high school was history and I was a proud
member of the marching band. I tired out for the
tennis team, but didn't make the cut. Golf is
boring.
I enjoy the outdoors and would rather sleep in a
tent
than a motel/hotel. I love flowers, but have nothing
close to a green thumb..lol. My favorite color is
orange and I own 11 pairs of filp flops. I hate
